IF you want get something out of your compulsive video watching, check out Flix55. You win points for watching videos, uploading videos that get a lot of views, commenting etc. More points mean cash prizes.Basically, you can do everything you can on YouTube, only you have a chance(as the site is small, a pretty good chance) to get a few bucks in your PayPal account. I’ve promoted a couple of the videos on Digg, and I have about a jillion points, so it can’t be that hard.

Because ‘Flix Fifty Five’ is an alliteration. My thoughts on this are you should collect viral videos from YouTube, put them on a website and whack adsense on them, then SEO the hell out of it and post all over social networks. Then you might get alot of money in your PayPal account, rather than a little. If your own videos are viral, you can use them to draw people to your site.

i bet you hardly get any money for uploading stuff n watching videos, especially since how many people will be participating. however, its not like its a bad deal on our part; whats not to like about getting a few cents to watch some videos? wonder how it will compare to youtube/metacafe/msn video by the end of next year.
Yeah For the most part I mostly use youtube to watch videos but this site does seem interesting.
It seems they have some cool stuff that youtube does not have, and a chance to win prizes. I never heard about it before but I will have to check it out. Cool thanks for the info!

Sounds like a great thing…like you state why not get paid for it, even if its a small chance to win money when you can’t on other sites
The concept is the same as flixya.com where users get points from the numbers of video view. Points then can be redeem for prizes.

flix55 i like since there are ways of getting money for having fun, unlike youtube. i mean if people are going to spend hours watching stupid videos, why not get something for it?
doesnt really sound scammy to me… they just want to be the next youtube, which i doubt they will be able to achieve.

checked out ur blog. ur other blog regarding pre-revenue doesnt have a comment posting option, so had to post here. i htink the pre-revenue option is great. but the whole method needs a lot of work.

A pay for surf experience is not exactly new. How do they measure how long you have been ‘watching’ the video. Can I open multiple tabs and view hundreds of videos at the same time. I don’t think this will last long.
My friends and I share a lot of videos, so I will check out this site. I’m curious to find out if you have to view something like 1,000 hours of video in order to make $1. But I’m always open to trying new things, and making a little money can’t be all bad!
yea its not something u would want to dedicate your time to in attempt to make money, but if ur a big video watcher, mine as well get paid for it.
According to me flix55 is a nice concept. I will surely give it a try where I would get money for downloading various stuff.
